25 Lessons Learned

Here are some different things I have learned or pieces of wisdom dropped on me over the years. These are different things I have learned in my life or my friends and family taught me. Enjoy!

1. Never ask a man if he misses you. If he does he will show it.
2. Don't tell someone your business if you don't want their opinion.
3. Always buy yourself a birthday gift. You should be the first person to celebrate you.
4. People don't change because you want them to, they change because they want to.
5. Friendships don't always last a lifetime.
6. Parenthood isn't for everyone. Wrap it up.
7. Every relationship is different and has its faults. Be careful of how you judge.
8. If in a situation there are more negatives than positives, reevaluate the situation.
9. Things don't just happen. There was always a thought process.
10. If a person wants you, they will make every effort to get you. Don't beg it makes you look weak.
11. When you lose yourself in a relationship, that might be the moment when you need to lose the relationship.
12. There is nothing wrong with saying NO to your parent. There is just a time and place or it.
13. Never ask a person for advice before asking God. God's advice matters the most.
14. Your family is usually a good judge of character of who you date.
15. Learn the love language of those in your life and speak it. It will create long lasting relationships.
16. Be careful what you tell people about your significant other. Telling someone all the negative will just give them a jaded view.
17. Take the time to learn something new and different.
18. Once a year your should purge your home. You would be surprised the things you find and don't need
19. Spend time with your family and those you love. Tomorrow isn't promised.
20. Watch a show, movie or documentary that you wouldn't normally watch, you might learn a thing or two
21. Love is blind and can sometimes cause you to walk into walls
22. Learn that you will not always get an answer to the questions you have.
23. Keep a stash, hard times do come
24. Never make a promise that you can't keep, someone always gets hurt.
25. Someone should always know where you are, SVU cases are real.
