Memories

Saturday my family had our annual cookout and it was one of the greatest days thus far this year. We had enough food to feed an army, games, people and laughter flowing and filling the air. But there seemed to be something missing. Nevertheless that missing substances, seemed to be present throughout the whole event. As everyone strolled around or sat in on benches and chairs in the park, two familiar faces seemed to smile back at you where ever you were. Those faces were Owen and Joan Hall. As you looked around their faces sat on the chest of every family member and you could not help but feel that even though they were gone, they were happy to know their family was together again. As cameras snapped to capture the moments, you realized that those loving spirits might have said farewell, but in still they where eternally present. Their faces were present in their sisters, children, grandchildren and even great grands that were present. Though they might be gone they will never be forgotten. We are the representation of the rock that we were hewn from and because of their great work God has given them eternal life.

Families have hard times but to see and be apart of event like this, makes me happy to say I am Hall.

While reading your post i was touched. i have been longing to have a cookout with my own family but i doubt that will ever happen. i miss my grands. the siblings are scattered and distant with each other.
I keep going to other ppl family reunion and i've decided that i wont go to anymore as of this year.
i dont like the feeling of loniless i get or the sometime belongingness. As though i'm accepted conditionally.
i could see that you guys were happy.
